Stablecoin Boom May Prompt Crypto Rules Review, Basel Chair Says

The rapid growth of stablecoins might prompt global policymakers to re-evaluate new bank capital standards for cryptoassets, the chair of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision said on Wednesday.
